Cup Sleeve FAQs

Take a look at our Cup Sleeve Frequently Asked Questions. For general artwork, payment queries and company information, please see our General FAQs section

Are these coffee cup sleeves reusable?

Although our cup sleeves are intended to be single-use, if you would like to reuse the sleeves we can offer you a denser paper stock.

Should I choose single sided or double sided print for my cup sleeves?

Most often, our customers only need single sided printing for cup sleeves.

Single sided printing is print to the whole of one side of the sleeve, double sided printing will be on the inside of the sleeve.

What are your paper stock options?

We offer various different paper stocks for our custom printed coffee cups.

Our best selling stock is a 300gsm Silk. This is a coated paper with a mid-sheen finish. With a soft-to-the-touch feel, it can be written on using a ballpoint pen.

Another stock we use for our coffee cup sleeves is an uncoated 350gsm stock, slightly thicker than the silk stock and while still appearing professional and clean cut, it comes without the smoothness or sheen of the silk stock.

If you are after a more rustic look, we offer a 280gsm Kraft Paper. It is the ideal stock for the eco-friendly. It is fully recyclable, unbleached and fully recycled. With a natural brown-flecked card, this stock is idea for the environmentally-friendly business.

Do you offer the thicker corrugated cup sleeves?

We are unable to offer this material at this time, the thick paper stock is too thick to go through our printing press.

However, our stocks are all non-thermo, meaning they will offer you fantastic protection against heat. All our stocks are fully customisable and are designed for fun or promotional one-off uses.

Should I choose taped or interlocking finish?

The interlocking coffee clutch sleeves come with two slits on both ends, these slits interlock which joins the sleeves together. The taped cup cover has an end tab for a small piece of tape, this tape sticks the ends of the sleeve together. Both interlocking and taped sleeves are machine die cut to their final shape.

The taped version has a clean finish while the interlocking has two tabs that can be turned in or face outwards, giving you a less clean line to your cup sleeve. The taped option is more expensive in large quantities due to the extra manual process of adding the tape to the sleeve.

What in included in the “free design”?

Due to the small surface area, we can offer free design! This offer is for 1 design containing logo and typography. We will need to use existing brand elements and company logos. This free-design service will produce print-ready artwork that we can use to print to the highest standard. All designs are proofed before printing, this ruling out mistakes.

How do you print the sleeves?

We print using both digital and litho presses, depending on the size of your order. These days the quality of litho and digital presses are nearly indistinguishable, however litho is a better option for colour consistency and speed for large print runs.

Can you supply coffee cups?

Unfortunately we are not currently able to produce or provide cups, just the sleeves.
